PARA ICE HOCKEY TRY-IT DAY

Regina Avengers are holding a try-it day on Sunday, October 20 at the Balfour Arena (68 Massey Rd) from 1:15-2:45 pm. Bring a helmet, warm clothes and gloves to give sledge hockey a try.

Regina Para Hockey is an inclusive sport that welcomes able-bodied and different ability people. Sledge hockey is a paralympic sport that celebrates the diversity of all people. McVeety students are lucky to have this held at our local hockey rink each Sunday. Practices occur at the Balfour Arena from 1:15-2:45 pm each Sunday afternoon. Anyone from age 5-adults can participate on a team. This is a low-cost activity of only $200 per season. Sleds and sticks are provided by the club. Participants need helmets, shoulder pads, elbow pads, neck guards, shin guards and warm boots to play sledge hockey.
